Editorial comments: Rare early exemple of a manifesto of a salon. Founded in 1946 to promote abstract art, Realités Nouvelles is a fair that still exists. In 1948, Herbin wrote a manifesto to precise and defend the fair conception of "non figurative art"; at the time, a large panel of artists was associated to the fair: Arp, Sonia Delaunay, Dewasne, Del Marle, Herbin, Van Doesburg et Pevsner
